HarmoKnight!

HarmoKnight, the newest rhythm-based music
game, will be released on the Nintendo eShop March 28th, 2013 for $14.99. This game is great (plus the fact that it's made by Game Freak, Pokemon!), I tried the Demo Version that's available now and the fact that you have an awesome little rabbit named Tappy (who looks like a tap dancer) following you around the whole game is pretty great! *Note: the description I'm about to give contains spoilers that could ruin it for some people, also this is for the Demo Version, I'm assuming it's the same beginning as the full version but just note that what I'm saying here is for the Demo Version. Spoilers start here:
The game begins with a narrator (really speaks!) briefly telling you about Melodia a "world filled with harmony, and music", the screen then zooms in on the planet right to Tappy the Rabbit, where he says that Tappy wants to talk to you. The screen then quickly flips around to show you (Tempo) for a moment. After Tappy briefly tells you that you might one day be a "true protector of Melodia" you go on to some training lessons. You start with a basic jumping skills with the B button, collecting notes and following the instruction Tappy gives you. Next up is an attacking lesson in which you hit some wood targets. After that you continue on to a spot where a short cutscene-comic with moving slides interrupts gameplay. It shown Tempo and Tappy stop in the middle of the road where the see some large, spiky, black and green meteors flying toward the earth. After a few "VAAANNNNN!!"s, (I have to note, the sounds these things make are pretty bad, and it fits great with the plot of the story... Ok, basically a guy named Noizoid/Gaagan (not sure yet) comes along and tries to ruin the harmony and music of Melodia by causing awful noises disrupting the harmony and music. That sounded stupid but that's all anyone knows has yet.), anyway, back to the description, the large impact of the meteors causes the ground to crack below Tempo and Tappy, they then fall far below to a swamp. Then a giant frog creature jumps out of the pink lagoon! (get that?) The ferocious monster grabs Tappy in his mouth and runs off, Tempo right on his heels! You then have to defeat the frog creature, after about 20-30 seconds you defeat this thing without breaking a sweat (this must be one of the easiest boss battles in the game). Once you defeated it, you pop back onto the map with the level select where we get some brief dialogue from Master Woodwin. "This is one of those stay tuned for the full version moments" he says! "What an outrage!" yells Tappy (just kidding). "You mean we have to stop now?" "Oh but of course not!" (What? He just said stay tuned for the full version but NO of course don't do that! So basically he's contradicting himself.) You then skip on to the other half of the map, where Tappy says something like: "Since we've gone so far lets push on a bit further." The next stage is "A Tough March" in which you do a regular stage collecting notes and defeating enemies. When you get enough notes you'll unlock a Royal Note (which can be used to destroy the meteors mentioned earlier that block your path) which will allow you to enter the final boss! After winning the stage (A Tough March) you then have access to a special Pokemon stage "Your Bicycle" with the original bicycle theme from the Pokemon games. And finally, the boss! A meteor blocks the level but just use the Royal Note to proceed. Once you reach the spot, there is some brief dialogue from Tappy about a Turbo-Charged Bee chasing you. You enter the stage riding atop a flying bird-like friend of Tappy's, you then spot the giant bee, "VVVAAAAA!" it says! This is a real boss stage where you here "Hit!"s and "Left, Right!". You have to tap the corresponding button to continue in the stage (Note: it is necessary to listen to the music here, trust me, it helps alot). After going through several mini-battles you finally defeat the bee. It flies through the air and explodes three time with an earthquake afterward... "TO BE CONTINUED" then flashes on the screen, after that it shows a few slides as you playing as Tempo, Lyra, and Jembay. After that the demo ends with a few words from Tappy like, "Hope to see you soon!
Spoilers end here
I can't wait the awful days until it is released! I will probably be posting a review here in the near future so stay tuned!
UPDATE 3/29/2013: The main enemy's name is Gargan.
